Celebrating the launch of SCBS, Singapore's first official Cell Biology society! To commemorate the occasion, we will be having an assembly and poster session with the newly-pledged SCBS members on 22nd September at the NUS Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium. We have specially invited three guest speakers — Oliver Mueller-Cajar (Assoc. Prof. and NRF Investigator, NTU), Hongyan Wang (Prof. and Founding President of the Society of Developmental Biologists Singapore, Duke-NUS Medical School), and Wanjin Hong (Prof. and Executive Director of IMCB, A*STAR) — to grace the event and give talks. There will also be a reception afterwards, so do look forward for that too!

If you would like to share your research with your SCBS peers, there will also be a poster session that day (see below for more details). To attend the launch, sign up as an SCBS member and RSVP here (by 15th September) — we hope to see you there!

4:00 – 4:10 PM: Welcome Remarks
4:10 – 4:30 PM: Scientific Talk by Oliver Mueller-Cajar (NTU)
4:30 – 4:50 PM: Scientific Talk by Hongyan Wang (Duke-NUS Medical School)
4:50 – 5:10 PM: Scientific Talk by Wanjin Hong (IMCB, A*STAR)
5:10 – 5:40 PM: 1st Annual General Meeting
5:40 – 7:00 PM: Reception & Poster Session
